Yoga and Art Daily Practice for Honoring Your Whole Self

Try this practice for a week and give your beautiful self the honor you deserve!

This practice can take less than 20 minutes per day, or you can take as much time as you can arrange for yourself.

5 minutes:

Dancer Pose, Nataranjasana. Hold pose 2 times on each side for five breaths

BTW: This pose does not have to be perfect, make it playful instead! You can use a strap (or a scarf or even a sock) around your foot it you can’t reach comfortably.  YandAnyc tip: Do the pose facing a wall and touch the wall with the extended hand for support.  As you feel steady, lift the fingers and feel your aliveness.

Two minute daily art practice:

Create a Personal Prayer Flag (photo: http://mudras-simpledailyuse.faernworks.com/mudra-notes-chakra-tune-up/) Each day for seven days take a sheet of paper or piece of cloth and using color line and shape make a “prayer” honoring yourself.  Each day can correspond to a chakra, beginning with the root chakra and ending with the crown.  String them together on day 7 and hang over a mirror, or where ever you desire. Simplest form could be to sue your favorite pen, post-it note paper, and dental floss! Have fun!!
